Runanga Water Treatment Plant

Client: Grey District Council
Completion Date: December 2019
Value: $810K

The Project

Process Flow Limited provided 4 modular water treatment plant buildings for the project. These buildings were fabricated, fitted out and commissioned in our yard in Nelson.

The project consisted of the following unit processes:

  • Two new duty/standby bores including pumps, bore head works and instrumentation

  • Filtration building consisting of 12 filter housings

  • Duty/Standby UV Disinfection

  • Modular Lime Dosing system – including modern 25kg bag unloader

  • High Lift pump building

Key Points

The Runanga community required a treatment system independent to the main Greymouth water supply. Having upgraded the Greymouth supply previously Process Flow were well placed to provide the treatment systems required for Runanga.

The project was constrained by budget and Process Flow worked with the Grey District Council to provide a cost-effective solution that satisfied the requirements of the Drinking Water Standards of New Zealand (DWSNZ).
